This wordle is depicts the scene where Dewey Dell thinks about Lafe and her pregnancy. She says that Lafe is a good man and that if it weren't for him, she would be alone and there would be nobody else cares about her like he does.
I was picking cotton for the first time with Lafe because pa had a disease where he couldn't sweat, so he couldn't help us. And then Jewel just doesn't care about anything so he wasn't helping. As I was picking and getting closer and closer to the shade, my sack was filling up! If my sack is full, then I must take it back to be dumped. However, when I got there, it was still not full, so Lafe and I touched and then went into the area shaded by trees. Before that, he was picking out of my sack! I just couldn't help myself. Then Darl, without me telling a word to, knew exactly what happened! How does he do it? He knows exactly what is going on without even being there! He also knew that mother was going to die soon! Then he took Jewel to help him with the load and they rode off.
Poem My False Teeth C'mon boys! Don't be funny.
I need the money
for my false teeth
so that I can munch on beef!
I have a disease and I can't sweat,
so you better make sure that my goals are met!
We are then gonna go into town,
striding the streets up and down.
Dewey Dell! Where's my dinner?
And why haven't you gotten any thinner?
Listen up! I'm not lazy!
I'm just crazy
for my false teeth!
and then, I can chew on some beef!
Poem 2 Me and My Horse
You see, me and my horse are tight
even though I kick him with all of my might!
He can really tick me off and be lame
but I love him just the same!
I'm sad that my mother died,
though I would've cried
but I had other things on my mind
like my horse, but I wasn't kind.
I can be aggressive and mean
but, however, I'm not very keen.
Shut-up you stupid horse!
Now, it's my time for my remorse... Newspaper

Addie's Reaction
I saw you all struggling today getting across the river. I saw the log strike the wagon and flip it over. I also saw my body fall into the river and Cash's tools along with. Darl, you tried to save me, but you were impulsive and you failed. That's so typical of you. I never really liked you, anyway. But, you were the only one who was smart enough to jump out of the wagon, surprisingly. And as for you, Jewel, my favorite son, thank you for saving my body and Cash's tools. You always were my savior. I told Cora that, but she refused to listen. It looks like I was right about that. As for you, Vardaman, I'm not a fish you impecile! I am completely human! How could you say that I'm a fish? And Cash, I just wanted to say that I love the coffin that you have made for me is lovely. You always were very crafty. And Anse, I'm not surprised that you have done nothing on the trip to help. You never helped me either when I needed it. And last, but not least, Dewey Dell, your motives for getting to town are pathetic! I'm really not surprised that you're pregnant. You are truly an imbecile. http://apimages.ap.org/ Diary Entry
Dear Diary,
I was just reflecting on you, Addie. I am upset to see why you married Anse. You are supposed to love people and it seems that you can't. You could fix this if you put your faith in Jesus. I am very happy to see that you did not give into the temptation of killing Anse because you were not happy. I am, however, upset to see how you treated your son, Darl, and how you rejected him for all those years. Like I said, all you needed is faith and a new set of eyes to see the world through to be happy. I was also thinking about the affair that you had with me. I just wanted you to know that although it was wrong, I enjoyed it. I could tell that you liked me from the look that you gave me. I really hope that you teach for different motives, as well. Whipping kids to make you happy isn't very nice and it's unfair to the kids. http://apimages.ap.org/
